About IF Afterschool

IF Afterschool programs support the social and emotional wellness of children by providing project-based activities that are active, expressive and creative, in a warm and nurturing environment within their own school building.

Our afterschool programs run daily from the first Monday in September to the last Friday in June, offering high-quality childcare and enrichment activities. On registered days, we receive your child from their classroom teacher. After enjoying a DOE snack and socializing, they will participate in a specialty class led by a professional educator for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Following the class, children can choose from various activities, including sports, arts, games, and homework help, until dismissal.

IF Afterschool is a fully licensed childcare provider with the NYS Department of Health Office of Children and Family Services.

Class offerings include Theater, Drawing and Painting, Mixed Media Art, Coding, Karate, Dance, Sports and Games, Filmmaking, Cooking, Lego Robotics, & Engineering.

Financial Aid

Families seeking financial assistance with Afterschool Child Care expenses are encouraged to apply for a Child Care Voucher through My City. These vouchers, designed to support eligible families, can significantly reduce the financial strain associated with afterschool programs.

In order to complete the application you will need access to physical copies of the following documents:

  1. Proof of NYC residency

  2. Birth certificates or baptismal certificates for all children under 18

  3. Proof of income if working (multiple paystubs).
